New puppies have arrived!  April 22, 2012 8 Chocolate Puppies

After two very long years A LittleHaven of Havanese is excited and extremely happy to be raising puppies once again. We have adopted some new "LittleMen and LittleWomen" to our Haven. Much of my time was spent further researching the breed with due diligence in genetics, how colors are affected, the quest of the true origin of the Havanese enabling us to go forward with breeding better dogs. We have met many new mentors along the way sharing their wealth of knowledge within the Havanese breed and were bestowed allowing us to adopt the "pick of the litter".

The LittleHaven website has been down for the last 2 years. In launching the site again we are presently updating pages and will continuously update our website on a monthly basis. What is a Havanese? Pawsitively a precious, priceless jewel set in the finest gold and platinum from a treasure trove that will brighten your life forever. Havanese, like a flawless gem, have numerous distinct facets. The most brilliant and renown is the rare breed's winning temperament. Immediately after touching your heart and spirit, these little "Velcro Social Butterflies" leave their little paw print forever in your heart and memory.

Happy go lucky, loving, extremely intelligent, social and complaisant, these elite Havanese Dogs out shine themselves when rewarded with faithful, continuous human companionship. Havanese are an excellent family companion for all ages and homes, blending easily with children and offering themselves as constant playmates. Swimming, walking, climbing, jumping, dancing, spinning and circus tricks are a few of the antics this humorous, witty little dog loves to participate in. Havanese Dogs are equally content to sit, cuddle, and watch while in the company of family members. Gender plays no part in the breed's mellow temperament, as both male and female display equal portions of heart, beauty, and intelligence.

Havanese Dogs have a long, luxuriant, silky coat of hair which comes in a striking variety of colours. Dark brown, almond eyes, filled with an adoring and unforgettable expression is another shining facet in this breed. The Havanese breed is a member of the Toy Class and are considered a rare and elite breed. Facts have not revealed the true origin but recognize the Havanese were uniquely bred and developed in Cuba. Careful promotion and responsible ethical breeding practices have taken this little, sturdy dog to today's standards.

At A LittleHaven our puppies are raised with loving hands in our home, we are dedicated to breeding our Havanese for the discerned pet owner.

Combining together all the natural gifts, bags of tricks and instincts of this breed, it is very clear how adaptable these dogs are. Eager to please, full of vigour, an enthusiastic bounce, sound structure, unique movements, and quick witted flair, the Havanese have earned and deserve the crown known as Man's Best Friend.
